Luba Bakičová is a graduate of the J. E. Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem, from the glass studio led by Ilja Bílek. In her works, she focuses on uncovering the hidden properties of glass. She creates through planned experiments, where she observes the behavior of glass in extreme heat situations. She likes to combine glass with other materials. Around the year 2012 she created a series of sculptures, for which she let uranium glass trickle into heat resistant concrete. This is how she made the original collection of works, in which there is a contrast between strict concrete and soft glass.
